Friends of the Peachtree City Library is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation formed in 1973 to promote the Peachtree City Library within the community, raise money to supplement the library budget, and provide financial and volunteer support for library programs.

We are a member of the Friends of Georgia Libraries.

What We Fund

We support the Peachtree City Library in a variety of ways, including sponsoring author events and helping to make a wide range of programming possible—including summer reading initiatives, children’s storytime, the Art Initiative and much more!

What We Do

We accept donations of gently used books, audio books, DVDs, and music CDs, to conduct a continuous sale of these items at the library. We raise approximately $4,000 each year from these generous donations.

Each year, we provide approximately $3,000 for the Children’s Vacation Reading Program as well as more than $2,000 in books for the library. We also provide financial support to other library programs, such as local author events and The Art Initiative.
