Our Library Thrives With Volunteers Like you
Contribute your time and talents to the Peachtree City Library and to Friends’ programs. Each new volunteer receives a personal orientation tour of the library. Each year, more than 80 volunteers, Friends, and others contribute more than 2,000 hours to the library and its patrons.
Tasks include:
Shelving circulating books, DVDs, and CDs
Emptying the book drop
Packing/opening interlibrary shipments
Scanning shelves for errors in book placement
Calling patrons to inform them of hold books
General office tasks
A volunteer application can be downloaded here and turned into the library circulation desk, or you can express your interest in completing a contact form on our Contact page.
Volunteers must be 14 years or older. Those who are accepted will receive three hours of training in two sessions that will include an orientation session as well as task-specific, hands-on-training. Applicants will be contacted by email to schedule training.
