Brad Thor Draws Sold Out Crowd in Peachtree City

Brad Thor addresses a sold-out crowd in Peachtree City, GA.

You know you’re in for a big night when the line starts forming before the doors even open. That was the scene at the Crowne Plaza Peachtree City on Thursday, July 10, where a sold-out crowd gathered for An Evening with the Author: Brad Thor—an event hosted by the Friends of the Peachtree City Library.

The evening marked a major moment for thriller fans and library supporters alike, as bestselling author Brad Thor visited Peachtree City just days after the release of his newest novel, Edge of Honor. Guests were treated to a night of connection, conversation, and a rare behind-the-scenes look into the mind of one of America’s top thriller writers.

A pre-event reception kicked off the evening, where attendees enjoyed the cash bar, browsed the pop-up bookshop from local partner Bookmiser, and chatted with fellow readers. In addition to Edge of Honor, Bookmiser offered two other titles for sale—Thor’s debut novel, The Lions of Lucerne, and his 2024 thriller Shadow of Doubt—giving fans both a look back at the beginning of the Scot Harvath series and a chance to catch up on recent work.

When the program began, literary content creator and military veteran Colby Purvis took the stage to moderate the discussion. What followed was a fast-paced, insightful conversation covering everything from global politics to character development, with Thor pulling back the curtain on how Edge of Honor came together—and how his writing continues to reflect real-world tensions more than two decades after Harvath’s first mission.

The audience Q&A didn’t disappoint. Thoughtful questions came from longtime readers and new fans alike—but it was the author who turned the tables. Thor quizzed the audience on Harvath lore, handing out limited-edition Edge of Honor challenge coins to those who knew their stuff.

As if the timing wasn’t special enough, Edge of Honor hit #1 on the New York Times Best Sellers list that same week, making Thor’s visit to Peachtree City a particularly memorable stop on his national book tour.

After the program, the line for photos with the author weaved through the auditorium, with readers eager to shake his hand and snap a picture—capping off what can only be described as an unforgettable night for fans of the genre.
